🎉 Results Announcement – 2nd Itami Carillon Composition Competition

Thank you very much for participating in the 2nd Itami Carillon Composition Competition, hosted by our association.After a thorough and careful review, the following works have been selected for awards:

First Prize

  • Title: The Bells Hope for Tommorrow

  • Composer: Sawa Matsuura


Second Prize

  • Title: Watagumo

  • Composer: Go Yajima


Honorable Mentions (Audience Award Nominees)

  • Title: Prayers soon Reach the Sky – Mei Oikawa

  • Title: Someday in the future – Harumi Takama

  • Title: Prayer for Peace – Tomoko Obe

  • Title: Echos of Clarity – Akima Izumi

  • Title: Swaying Sunflowers – Shinya Ujiie

  • Title: Memories of Osmanthus – Hiroki Itamura


These eight selected works will be premiered at the “Premiere Concert & Audience Award Selection” to be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the “Bells of Flanders” Carillon in Itami City, Hyogo Prefecture.The Audience Award will be determined by votes from attendees at the concert.

Certificates and prize money for the First Prize, Second Prize, and Audience Award will be sent out in March after all selections are finalized. Honorable Mention recipients will receive certificates. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepare these materials.

We will continue to support composers in their creative efforts to write original carillon music.Thank you again for your many wonderful submissions!
